The family dairy and farming business was started by Robert Bennett, who was born near St Ives Cornwall in 1870. He was the eldest of eight children and he left the family smallholding to support himself as soon as he was able. He ventured to the South East where he took up employment in a Dairy business. After several years he started his own business and by the turn of the century he had built up a dairy business which was situated in White Hart Lane, Tottenham. In order to supply his customers with fresh milk he even kept cows in West Ham although a good proportion of his milk came by milk train from Derbyshire.

During the First World War he decided to leave London but not before his eldest son took the Kings shilling in Trafalgar square which took him to the Tank corps in Flanders whilst his younger son Stan joined the Royal Naval Air Service. In 1918 Robert Bennett finally moved back to the country buying Manor farm in Worcestershire which is situated in the river meadows of the Severn valley.

His son Stanley followed him and in his turn he built up a dairy herd and dairy business. He also found the time to enter local politics and during his period in office as Mayor of Worcester he was able to grant the Freedom of the city to Winston Churchill. In 1965 Stanley ¡¯s son John took over the business and built it up further. During this time he started the Ice cream manufacturing which has now been in operation for 30 years.

Today two of Robert Bennett¡¯s great grandsons, Keith and Duncan, run the Ice Cream business whilst another great grandson, Christopher manages the farm. We now sell our ice cream locally and also in the South and East of the country.
